Penelope Cruz and Salma Hayek were almost in a plane crash while filming Bandidas, and Cruz revealed, "A thought came across my mind that if I were to die at that moment at least I’d die with my best friend."
The two are so close that they were once rumored to be more than just friends, but they laughed off those rumors: Cruz said, "We are like sisters."
